IS38 Upgrade Staged Tune (VW MK7 GTI/GLI AUDI A3)
This new EQT Staged tune is designed for GTI/GLI and A3 owners who are looking for a little more power while maintaining that factory appearance and spool response of their big sister variants the Golf R and S3.
This tune is designed for use with an OEM IS38 Turbocharger or IS38+ with OEM sized wheels. Compatibility with any other turbo is not guaranteed.
The IS38 Staged Tune is meant to work across a wide variety of vehicles and geographical areas and fuel qualities. Some who live in areas which have exceptionally poor pump gas fuel quality, such as ethanol free fuel, may need a "lite" variant of the file which can be provided if the fuel quality cannot cope with the normal file. This can be requested and given on an as needed basis.
That said, IS38's are plentiful and fairly inexpensive making them a great option for a cost-effective upgrade to your GTI, GLI, or A3.
With the use of pump gasoline, no fuel system upgrades are required however due to variances in fuel quality and fueling components from vehicle to vehicle EQT is including a "lite" file with each pump gas calibration.
**When using Ethanol or Ethanol mixes an upgraded HPFP is required.
